How do I get a concealed carry license in Illinois?
To get an Illinois Concealed Carry License (CCL) you must be at least 21, hold a valid FOID card, complete 16 hours of Illinois State Police–approved training that includes a live-fire qualification, and apply to the Illinois State Police with a $150 fee. 2AM Tactical's 16-hour course in Oak Lawn satisfies the full training requirement, and we walk you through the application before you leave class.
Where are your concealed carry classes located?
Our classes are based in Oak Lawn, Illinois at 5533 W 109th St, minutes from Orland Park, Tinley Park, Palos Heights, Burbank, Evergreen Park, and Chicago's Southwest Side. Most students reach us in under 20 minutes from anywhere in the southwest suburbs.
Who teaches 2AM Tactical classes?
Every 2AM Tactical course is led by experienced, active law enforcement personnel. You learn the law, safe gun handling, and defensive fundamentals from instructors who use those skills professionally — not from a script.
Do I need to own a gun to take a concealed carry class?
No. You can complete Illinois concealed carry training without owning a firearm. Contact us before class and we can arrange a rental or loaner option for the range portion. Many first-time students take the class before buying their first gun so they can make a smarter purchase.
